Quick-Pace Sensual Dance Tutorial

Hey you! I’m excited to share a new tutorial. This is a beginner-level quick-pace sensual dance, and we’ll be standing for the full routine. Let’s get into it!

This choreography is perfect for those who want to build on top their current learning. Many of the tutorials that I’ve posted in the past have had a slower pace. This one has a few moments where we speed it up a tad. So, if you’ve been wanting to try a slightly faster flow, then this one is perfect. You’ll have faster moments and some time to slow it down as well.Β Since we won’t be going down onto the floor, you won’t need any high socks. As usual, I won’t have any heels on, but definitely feel free to throw on a pair if you’d like to add that your experience.

There will also be a couple points in the routine where you can personalize it. Allow yourself to make it your own and see what your body naturally gravitates towards. I find that this enhances the learning process and makes it more fun.

Let me know in the comments below how this quick-pace sensual dance tutorial goes for you! And if you’d like to try some slower pace flows, check this one out. Thanks for dancing with me! πŸ™‚

Beginner Standing Sensual Movements!

When dancing and learning new movements, I love coming up with floor combos. Someone asked about standing movements, so I decided to showcase some of my favorites. In this video, we’re going over six beginner standing sensual movements.Β

The six moves that I share in this video are:

  • Sensual walks
  • Low dips
  • Leg slide/dip
  • Wide-stance dip w/ head turn
  • Hip swivel
  • Shoulder movements

I chose these beginner standing sensual movements because they are easy to learn and leave room for variations and personal touch. These moves (or come form of them) often find their way into my choreos. I really love how they feel and how they look when piecing things together.

After breaking down all six beginner standing sensual movements, I piece them together in a short choreography following the same order in which we learned them. I highly suggest taking the routine and pairing it toa song of your choice. And mix it the moves! Maybe try them in a different order, add in different variations, and make the routine your own. That’s another great way to keep learning and getting better.

Let me know in the comments below how this goes for you. If you’d like to try some floorwork, check out this beginner-level floor routine.Β For more routines, visit my YouTube channel!

Tips for Connecting to Sensuality

Since I’ve gotten more intoΒ  finding my lane in sensual dance, it’s beenΒ  a great way for me to connect more to myself and build confidence. So, I wanted to make a video sharing more about what has been helpful for me. Let’s talk about ways we can work on connecting to our sensuality.

For everyone, this journey is a little different, and sometimes there may be barriers that we’re working against. It could be that we’re learning to see the beauty in our physical selves or finding comfort in intimacy. Maybe we’re exploring different ways to express this part of ourselves. Connecting to our sensuality can be a very rewarding experience and can help us to feel more comfortable in our bodies and femininity. There’s no one way of doing it, and I believe it should be done in ways that are most enjoyable.

For me, positive self-talk, moving freely through dance, and being present in the moment have been valuable tools. I discuss these a little further in the video, as well. Hopefully, there are some tidbits from the video that are useful for you along your journey. πŸ™‚

Beginner Floorwork Tutorial

I have a new beginner floorwork tutorial to share with you all! This one is great for those who are looking to move at a slower pace while working through choreography.

This choreography is about four eight counts and keeps us down on the ground for the entire routine. I’ve also included a few moves where we lift the hips and work on seductive leg movements. When we get to this part in the choreography, one thing that we’ll stress is to really connect to your core muscles. That will assist you in maintaining and controlling the lift. Modifications will also be provided if you’re continuing to build up to these movements.

Once you have the dance down, another great way to practice is to move through the routine to other music. See how it feels to piece the choreography together to different beats – both faster and slower – and add your own flair as you go along. Improvising and going with the flow canΒ  be a big help when it comes to improving your dance skills.

Beginner Dance Tutorial

Hey everyone! We’re working through another beginner dance tutorial! This one is a shorter routine and is perfect for those just starting. It’s also perfect for those who are looking to learn something quick. Let’s get into it!

So, this choreography is only four 8-counts, giving us a routine that is a little over 30 seconds. We won’t be including any floorwork and will only focus on upright movements. And if you have seen some of my other tutorials, then you know that I’m a fan of sensual dance movements. That will be included in this routine, as well, in terms of how we perform the movements.

As we go through tis beginner dance tutorial, I’ll break down the movements by count. Afterward, we’ll have time to practice to the music before adding on. At the end, we’ll do the routine a couple times full-out to the music.

Take your time, and don’t worry if you don’t get it right away. Just keep coming back and practicing. Over time you’ll find that it gets easier. If you enjoy this one, I think you’ll enjoy my most recent tutorial. It’s a bit longer and includes both standing and floor exercises.Β

I’d love to hear how this goes for you! Feel free to leave a comment below. πŸ™‚

Beginner Sensual Dance Tutorial

Ok ladies, I have a new sensual dance tutorial to share with you all! I recently taught this during one of my in-person Sensual Dance & Floorwork classes, and it went so well! The song that we’ll be moving to ‘Lose Control’ by Ledisi.

One thing that we spent time focusing on during the class was how to move sensually while in one place. You’ll notice at the start of the routine, there will be time to move freely. Although it’s just a couple 8-counts before the actual choreography starts, it can help with becoming more comfortable with sensual movement. One tip would be to all listen to the song fully a few times and improvise in front of the mirror. The lyrics to the song really paint a picture of giving some TLC to that special someone. Aim to channel that while you move.

In this dance tutorial, we’ll start standing and then we’ll work our way down to the ground halfway through. In every tutorial, I try to break it down in steps so it’s a little easier to follow the choreography. We’ll start with learning a couple 8-counts and then we’ll move to the music for that part. We’ll continue in this manner until we reach the end if the dance tutorial.

You’ll hear me say it in this video (and pretty much every one lol), but allow yourself to move freely and comfortably. Don’t get too caught up in the steps if you find that you’re messing up in certain areas. With time and practice, you’ll find it easier to pick up the movements. Let me know how it goes in the comments below! πŸ™‚

Sensual Floorwork Tutorial – Int/Adv.

Here is an intermediate/advanced sensual floorwork tutorial for you to check out! In this video, we’ll be dancing to ‘Coffee’ by Miguel – I love this song. So, fun fact: this sensual floorwork tutorial is actually the first one I put together. I had been working on routines for a a little while. But I wanted to share some of what I had been doing. floor

With these tutorials, no heels are required. However, if you’d like to add them in for an extra flair, feel free. I would recommend some high socks or knees pads, as they can help with some of the movements. Also, this tutorial does include some moves that are a bit more advanced. It includes some inversions and flips that may require a bit of practice. If you have any head or neck injuries, it’s not recommended that you move through this.

If you’re looking for a more beginner level dance tutorial, you can check out this one! It doesn’t have any flips or inversions, so it’s better for who would like to start at a slower pace. Let me know how it goes in the comments below! πŸ™‚
